Noizi Ito Draws Haruhi Suzumiya Praying for Japan

Noizi Ito, the artist best known for the Haruhi Suzumiya and Shakugan no Shana light novel illustrations, posted the above picture of the character Haruhi on Sunday, two days after the March 11 earthquake (Tōhoku Chihō Taiheiyō-oki Jishin) and tsunami. As Ito noted on her Twitter account, even the “Brigade Leader” is offering her prayers.

Ito is part of a larger #draw_for_japan movement in which artists offer their support for the victims of the recent disaster. Takehiko Inoue (Slam Dunk, Vagabond) also drew art as a way of offering his prayers for Japan.
